What a wonderful experience I've had! I don't even know where to start. Well.... you start by walking into the coffee shop and being greeted by one of their very well mannered employees. The coffee shop is a bundle of everything. The atmosphere feels so "homey" and welcoming. The shop is tight and clean from top to bottom, even on their busiest hours. You will always feel welcome to sit at the bar and have a conversation with the people who work behind the bar, or even the daily patrons that come to the shop. Everyone is so friendly, the people who come to drink their coffee regularly are so friendly. This place is a sit down, have a good conversation, and relax kind of place. You really don't know who you will become friends with because everyone is so inviting.

The food & coffee was immaculate. I ordered a Cubano and a tostada Cuban bread. So much flavor in the coffee. Sooooo much flavor. It was the right amount of coffee for a morning jump start. I'm excited to try more of their menu.

Best experience I had was with the owner Dan. The owner does not only own the place, he also works there. His brother Tim is as well a great character. Dan will greet everyone by their first name along with their order. Even if you don't buy anything! You will feel welcomed. The conversations to the welcoming staff, you will enjoy it from top to bottom.

They also as well host events! From time to time! Went to their video game night! Greaaaaaaaaat time! You will enjoy everything about it!

Months ago, a little birdie told me about this place where you can get some really good coffee located along Hollywood Blvd. So when I woke up this morning and had the taste for some café con leche, I decided to visit Kay Rico Coffee.

There's limited parking in the front of the business, but you can find plenty of parking in the back. Upon entering, I immediately felt so relaxed. The atmosphere has that laid back vibe where you literally leave your worries at the door, sit down, chill, and enjoy a nice hot cup of coffee. There are plenty of seating for patrons and the staff at KR are so warm and friendly. As I sat at the bar, I watched the barista making various coffees with precision and when he pours it into a cup, he treats it as his "masterpiece". KR has a very small menu, but they offer a variety of espresso drinks (hot/cold) and other beverages. They also have pastries, acai bowl, sandwiches, and other food items all under $10.

I must say, the little birdie was right. The café con leche I had definitely hit the spot. It was hot and rich with steamed milk on top. I walked in a bit tired, but after drinking that cup, I'm all perked up now. Will definitely return for another cup, along with one of their sandwiches.

I had been looking forward to going here since I heard they were opening a stand alone shop outside of the yellow green market.

I took a group of friends on a Saturday for breakfast and coffee. I ordered my usual from the Yellow green market venue which was the Kavlar, iced. It is coffee, coconut oil and almond milk. Normally I relish this beverage but this time it tasted a bit off, maybe sour. It might just have been a one off because at their other location when I have had it was always on point. My friends had lattes and espresso and thoroughly enjoyed them. I ordered a sandwich which was good. The staff were all very friendly. I will go again in the future and look forward to trying the coffee again. I also would like to maybe go on the sweet side for my next food venture.

Best coffee shop at the market!
They have a verity coffee styles and options. My favorite is the iced bullet proof it's mixed with almond milk, coconut oil amongst some of the ingredients. It's creamy and has a bold coffee flavor, it's delicious! Try them out you wont regret it!
